All of these positions are played as 3 notes-per-string shapes (NPS). There are other ways to memorize the G major scale across the fretboard, but this is the easiest way in my experience.
It’s important to note that G major scale has the same notes as the E minor scale. This is because E minor is the relative minor of G major.
This is good news for you, because you’ll have all of the notes down for 2 highly essential scales/ keys.
